What really is being mindful?
Mindfulness is simply being in the moment. Showing up where you are.
Being fully present.
We’re bombarded by so much information in modern day society. This advert, that e-mail, a deadline, a conversation or a stream of WhatsApp messages.
Globally, between 60 and 90% of school children have dental caries (dental decay or cavities). Most of the disease remains untreated. Dental decay causes pain, results in missed days in school and usually requires treatment which is often not affordable or available.
Sugar is everywhere. It has recently hit the media hard and for good reason. Over the last 60 years our diets have changed dramatically. Much of this has to do with processed foods. Generally when we are talking about ‘sugar’ we are referring to ‘fructose’ as not all sugars have the same effect on the body.
